Indian Heritage Centre

Opened in May 2015, the Indian Heritage Centre is the first museum in Southeast Asia to focus on the diverse heritage of the Indian community. The centre serves as a focal point for the community by showcasing the diverse stories of the various groups and their rich links with the global Indian diaspora.

The centre is also one of the first few museums locally to adopt augmented reality in its permanent galleries. It features more than 440 artefacts comprising jewellery, stone sculptures, costumes, wood carvings, vintage suitcases used by early immigrants and war-time publications from the 1940s.
