Overview
Established since 1996, the Museum Roundtable (MR) seeks to develop a
stronger museum-going culture in Singapore while positioning museums as
unique and fascinating cultural destinations.
Chaired by the National Heritage Board, MR's 50 member museums attract
more than 4 million visitors each year and cover a wide range of themes
- from art, culture, history, science, design, urban planning, healthcare
security to defence.
Key initiatives organised by MR encompass industry development, museum
festivals, advertising and promotions, knowledge acquisition and training.
They include joint marketing platforms such as advertisements, brochures
and websites, as well as capability building activities like study missions,
workshops, and industry studies.
