Ever wondered how a tiny seed can grow into a gigantic tree? This programme will teach children all about seeds – the various shapes and sizes they come in, their modes of dispersal and their role in the lifecycle of plants. Besides taking part in a seed planting activity, participants will also design their personal seed containers to bring home, and learn to care for their little plant friends.
About the Speaker:
Zheng Jiahui is a manager from the National Parks Board. She enjoys gardening and is passionate about spreading her love for green and nature to the public, to let them appreciate the wonderful world of plants.

The much-loved Art Garden returns this May for the third year running with an engaging range of contemporary artworks by Singaporean and international artists that will appeal to you and your young ones. SAM has used this opportunity to commission Singapore artists, such as Justin Lee and Loh Sau Kuen, to create works for its next generation of art audiences. The only exhibition in Singapore dedicated to showcasing art suitable for children, works at Art Garden address topical and open-ended issues. In addition, a series of inspiring short films and animations, including animated shorts by young Singaporean students for the N.Emation! competition series will be screened.
