Gan Heritage Centre

Housed in an 80-year-old clan association building, the Gan Heritage Centre seeks to honour and preserve the rich 2,500 year heritage of the Gan clan, celebrate the historic and cultural significance of the Gan ancestry, and uphold the clanship spirit while promoting its relevance in a modern, changing world.

With a comprehensive clan archive, the centre presents the story of the clan from the etymological origins of the Gan surname to the contribution of Gan businessmen in shaping Singapore. It also serves as a living museum that encourages interaction with the younger audience in search of their ancestral roots and cultural identity.
